Getting organized

For those of you who do food storage, I think you'll know what I mean when I say it's hard to find spaces to put it in. When we first moved into our home, we had NOWHERE to put anything...not even a regular pantry. So Jaren made us a pantry and some shelves above the washer and dryer. And this little section became our clutter area. (But of course I cleaned out most of the junk before I took this picture) When my husband had some left over alder and melamine from a job he did, we decided we needed more cabinets to store the many jars we canned this year.
Here's the result:
Isn't this little family sign cute? We did this at a family reunion...but I bet with your handy dandy cricut, you could do your own much easier than we did ours! We actually traced the letters onto paper and cut it out before mod podging it onto the painted wood!

Wow!...to Jaren's awesome cabinets and to your canning!! Wow! I'm so impressed. The cabinets are beautiful and it's so nice to make more storage for stuff!
You guys are my heros (heroes? Suddenly I'm pulling a doofus and can't think how to spell that word. Anybody know who can enlighten this momentary doofus?) for so many reasons.
First of all, gorgeous cabinets. I love alder. Can you make me some too? We also have no pantry; we converted our hall closet into our pantry, but it's a tight squeeze. Just try getting in there when you're pregnant. I dare you. (I tried! Almost didn't get out a couple of times!)
Secondly, YUM. CEREAL! I feel like I am going to starve if I don't have at least a four-month stash (our closet-pantry is filled mostly with cereal...).
Third, look at all those boxes of CHEERIOS! One of my most favorites.
Fourth, I love your Family sign.
Fifth, I love that you cleaned up before you took the picture.
Sixth, who is that handsome little lovebug in the top picture? ;-)
Isn't it a great feeling to have it sitting so pretty on your shelves! LOL. Great job on finding a "nice" place to hide it!
