My model was NOT cooperating. I guess that's what you get when you pay em in pretzel sticks. He was running away from me; therefore, you get a picture of whereever we ended up that I could take a picture...like my horrendously messy family room. Hmm, I may have to rethink pretzel sticks as payment.
I think I'm happy with how it turned out though (the hat, not the picture, or my housekeeping skills). I will say, however, that I really miss Chase's cute long hair that got cut a few weeks ago. That was a sad, sad day.
If you crochet and want to know how to make this hat, sadly I do not have enough skill to create my own projects, so I bought this pattern. You can too at this Etsy site:
beginner crochet pattern, no. 85, Classic European Newsboy Hat
And I have another little boy one to show you later too! (For the new boy, of course!)
P.S. Thanks everybody for the sweet comments about my little guy! Thanks for your patience in my sporadic/nonexistent posts!!

SO CUTE! That makes me want to learn to crochet!
I love the little hat... AND your boys are adorable. I just visited Melly's Gang blog and I discovered your sweet, sweet family. It made me smile and made me maudlin...My kidos are grown people now. I miss the little people that they were. But, given that I will be 50(!!!) in March, I am sure the little people would exhaust me!!!
I hope you are recovering well and that all is well with Clawson and the other boys!!
Hugs,
Susan
How neat to find someone new to crochet like me! You're doing pretty well with that hat! So far I could only manage a simple thing like wristlets. It is a very relaxing craft and I really enjoy it. I have 3 boys and 1 girl who have started calling me grandma, but I don't care!! Good luck with your new baby and enjoy crocheting!!
