Martha's Cookie Towers

 
 
Martha Stewart now has paper boxes for treats to give away as gifts...but they cost 12.99 for a set of six. Yikes! Move over Martha; I made my own!

Below is just what it looks like after it has been cut. 


This is what it looks like after you have scored ALL the lines.


 
This is where you should be scoring it for the top. I first scored the excess at the top, then I scored right at where the top ends when it is folded.



The two above are pics of the only places that need glue.


The ones above this are basically just showing you how to fold the top.





 
 


Here's the cut file if you want it! It's just the right size for 12 cookies made with the small cookie scoop. I'm also going to be making more that are different sizes and shapes for other goodies. Stay tuned!

    To answer your question, my fold out purse card was my own creation. You need George and Accent Essentials. It's pretty easy!

    Very nice design.
    I'll be making some "no bake" chocolate oatmeal cookies for my grandkids soon and your boxes will be a lovely way to present them.

    Hi! I sooooo love this file.. however i only have the 12x6 cricut.. which i am kicking myself for now.. but is there anyway you could help me get it to a version that I could cut? I would be grateful for any advice or help your could give me!!!

    I am having trouble with the scut file, I tried opening it in scal 1 then in scal 2 everything is just a bunch of boxes and shapes on top of each other. I was looking for a way to contact you privately but couldn't find one. Maybe it is me doing something wrong in scal. Thanks for any assistance.

    The tall box worked great with SCAL 1, couldn't get it to work with SCAL 2.

    I don't know why that would be...this is the first I heard. I don't have SCAL 2, but if you can be a little more specific, I bet someone could help figure out why. :) Hope it works out for you!

    I am having the same problem using SCAL 2. It appears on the screen with a lot of boxes (which I'm assuming were used to create the box shape). However, when I cut it using scal 2, the shapes all cut out individually... cutting even the lines that I'm sure were supposed to be hidden or merged. Any tips?

    I love the cookie tower. thanks for sharing the file. I try to open it and it is a bunch of boxes the cut individualy. I have scal2. Can u tell me what im doing wrong ?thank u

    Hi there,
    I too have SCAL2 and I am having the same issues as other SCAL2 users. Once the cookie tower box is opened a whole heap of individual boxes & shapes appear. IF cut like that it will cut all the individual shapes. I tried welding it all together piece by piece however the shapes are not where they should be & looks nothing like the box you have cut out. Is there anyway to save this file as an SVG as this would eliminate problems for SCAL2 users.

    having a really hard time with the bottom of the box. What am I doing wrong in putting it together? Is it supposed to sort of bend together?

    Jennifer...

    I'm sorry you're having trouble. This is how it should work: the tabs that correspond with the back and front should fit into the side tab that has a rectangular shape cut out of it. Then the other side tab that has a rectable sticking out of it should fit right into the tab with the rectangle cut out of it. It always fits perfectly for me, so if you're having problems, you might want to make sure that your file has not been moved around and that the pieces are all in the right places. Or if you're using .svg, make sure the original dimensions are kept so they remain proportional. Best of luck!
